EdiRange is a mobile companion app for Edimax smart Wi-Fi Extenders. Smart extenders help to solve Wi-Fi problems and extend wireless coverage to dead zones that your existing signal can’t reach.
EdiRange provides a convenient solution to manage your smart extender and survey your local Wi-Fi environment, with easy-to-understand analytics to help you avoid wireless interference from your neighbors and get the best performance for the wireless devices in your home.
Plus, you can manage the extender’s wireless network and functions such as its guest network feature and Wi-Fi scheduling.
A guest network could be used to keep your Wi-Fi private and secure when you have company in your home, or for children as a parental control function: separate your child’s Wi-Fi network from yours so you can switch it on or off at anytime and have complete control, as well as peace of mind that your kids aren’t online when they shouldn’t be.
And EdiRange’s “good night” mode gives you a quick shortcut to shut down the extender’s Wi-Fi, so when you go to bed you can put your extender to sleep too.
Important:
For EdiRange to function properly, you must be connected to the same LAN as your extender.If you experience problems,connect directly to your extender’s SSID.

Stupid app. Management feature does not work. Simply bad app. Needs serious upgrade.
App crashes at login point. Useless and frustrating. Makes me want to just return the entire product. This is not a good way to conduct business, especially when you are selling tech products. Fix this ASAP.
I want to buy BUT cannot until they make it clear whether or not you have to have access to a router.... I live near a free public hotspot and can websurf as is but need fewer disconnects and better speed... cannot lay hands on a router so who knows if it helps my iPad ???
Downloaded on my 5C and when tried to launch it ask for the password which is 1234. After entering the PW it brings me back to the apps window.
As soon as you log-in it kicks you out!
